Access & Training

The Centre is open to both academic and industrial users. Choose the access route that fits you, complete the required training, and start working with our instruments — independently via self-service, or with our staff via full-service. Below is a quick overview and links to everything you need.

Two ways to work with us

Self-service

Work independently

Once trained, book and operate instruments yourself through the booking system. Charged as a user fee (academic) or an annual fee plus hourly rates (commercial).

Full-service

We process your samples

No training required — our staff handle your samples and deliver the results as a report. Billed per hour by instrument group.

Pricing at a glance

Academic instrument running costs are largely covered by the Centre; commercial rates span roughly 2,200–7,200 CZK/h depending on the instrument. See academic and commercial pricing for details.

The essentials before you start

  • Academic users must prove affiliation with an academic institution; results are for independent research only.

  • Self-service requires completed general training plus instrument-specific training for each device.

  • Users handling dangerous chemicals (e.g. HF) must complete additional toxic-substances training.

  • Please acknowledge the Centre in any publication of results achieved on our instruments.
