Commercial access

The Centre is open to companies and industrial partners. Commercial users typically order measurement and sample-processing services that our staff carry out for them, but self-service equipment access is also available for recurring needs. Below you will find how it works, the steps to get started, and commercial pricing.

01 — Overview

How commercial access works.

Commercial users typically order measurement or nanofabrication services, and their samples are processed by Centre staff. You may be present at the measurement as a visitor under the supervision of authorised personnel. For partners with recurring work, self-service equipment access is available against an annual user fee.

  • No training is required for full-service — our experts handle your samples and deliver the results.
  • Results are provided to you as a report together with the processed samples or measurement data.
  • If you are from an academic institution, please see our academic access instead.
Two ways to work with us

Full-service — our staff process your samples and deliver results. Self-service — your team gains independent equipment access against an annual user fee plus hourly charges. Most commercial partners start with full-service.

02 — Full-service

We process your samples for you.

The preferred route for commercial partners. No training is required — your samples are handled by Centre staff, and you may attend the measurement only as a visitor under supervision of authorised personnel. The hourly rate covers the full instrument running cost, the operator's time, instrument depreciation, and the Centre's processing fee.

Hourly rates

Commercial full-service rates range from approximately 2,200 to 7,200 CZK (90–300 EUR) per hour, depending on the instrument and the service requested. The rate covers the full instrument running cost, the operator's time, instrument depreciation, and the Centre's processing fee. Contact us for a quotation tailored to your samples.

03 — Self-service access

Independent access for recurring work.

For commercial partners with ongoing needs, your team can gain independent access to the equipment. Self-service is charged as an annual user fee plus hourly charges that cover instrument operation, depreciation, and training. Users may book any instrument once authorised for it through proper training.

Contact us to set up a commercial self-service agreement and pay the annual user fee.

Study the User Manual & complete the training tests

Work through the User Manual and complete the online test for each lab section your team intends to work in.

Attend a safety excursion

Schedule a laboratory safety excursion. Users handling dangerous chemicals (e.g. HF) must also complete the “Handling of toxic and dangerous chemical substances” training.

Train on individual instruments

Once the access requirements are complete, your staff begin instrument-specific training and can start working independently.

Reserve instruments through the booking system; hourly charges are billed per use.
